You can delete your Discern-Match account and personal data at any time, in the app or by email. This page explains how, and what is deleted and kept.
Open Discern-Match and go to your Profile. Tap Settings, then Delete account at the bottom of the page, and confirm. You are signed out straight away. If you only want a break, you can turn off “Show my profile” in Settings instead: your account and connections stay as they are.
If you no longer have the app, email info@discernmatch.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm the request with you and then delete the account.
A membership bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings before you delete your account.
Your profile is hidden from everyone. Your introductions and connections end, you leave your Faith Circle, you are signed out, and you can no longer sign in to the account.
After 30 days the account is permanently deleted, together with your profile, photos and verification video, your answers and preferences, your one-to-one conversations, and the messages you sent in Faith Circles. Until then, email us if you change your mind and we can restore the account.
If you started a free trial, we keep a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address so that the same address cannot start another free trial; it cannot be turned back into your email address. We also keep our internal record of actions taken on the account, such as its deletion. Purchase records for App Store or Google Play subscriptions are held by Apple or Google under their own policies.
